Grades K & 1 Teacher

Hi, I'm Deb Weigand. I teach kindergarten and first grade. Everyday is a new adventure! My favorite classes to teach are math and bible history. Kids this age say exactly what's on their mind so it leads to some very interesting conversations. It's a wonderful blessing to teach these young Christians about Jesus and witness their compassion for each other and their Lord.

My husband, Marty, is pastor of Grace and St. Peter's Lutheran Churches in Goodhue. Together we have two grown daughters - one who lives and works near Milwaukee and the other is attending Wisconsin Lutheran College in Milwaukee. I am a big animal lover and we have two cats - Rascal and Jefferson.

My hobbies include wreath making, hiking, running, kayaking, and fishing. I am also an aspiring line dancer.

My favorite bible passage is John 14:27 (NIV) "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid."
