Let the Bird Fly
Let the Bird Fly! is a podcast about living freely in a world given back to us. When we see the world for what it is and offers (and what it doesn’t), and when we live baptismally, we are freed to enjoy the things around us and the life of the mind for what it is: a gift!
Wade, Mike, Peter, and Ben, along with their guests, have diverse backgrounds and varied interests, so we plan to cover a lot, from theology to sports, news to philosophy, history to technology, science to, well, maybe even a little politics. We hope you’ll join the conversation and, with us, let the bird fly.

Lutheran Leadership Conference
Christ through us. That’s more than a theme. It’s a prayer, a purpose, and a plan for the future of our church.
The WELS National Conference on Lutheran Leadership (WNCLL) returns in January 2026 at a defining moment for our synod. WELS is standing at a crossroads. What we do in the next ten years will determine whether we step boldly into a season of revitalization or continue on a path of slow decline.
This is not just another event. This is the gathering place for those who know that in our broken world and fragmented communities, gospel ministry matters now more than ever. It’s where inspiration meets implementation. Where a long-range vision becomes real-world action.
