I am Pastor Todd Engel.  I serve as the vacancy pastor for Christ Lutheran Church.  I am a pastor at St. John’s in Red Wing, but I am also serving Christ Lutheran until another pastor accepts the full time call to serve as pastor.  Interestingly, I served as a vicar (intern) at Christ Lutheran back in 1994-1995.  It has been a joy to reconnect with the many nice people at Christ Lutheran. 

Michelle is my wife and we have three children.  Samuel and Ellie (a Zumbrota native) will serve as a vicar at Christ Alone Lutheran Church in Keller Texas.  Katie is in graduate school at the University of Wisconsin.  Joseph is a senior at Martin Luther College and will marry Callie Jo Otto in May 2026. In my free time I love fishing with my children and watching Minnesota sports, or as much as my heart can take.  (I am looking at you, Vikings).

 A favorite Bible verse is Psalm 27:1 “The Lord is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear?  The Lord is the stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid?”
